Email and Communications Policy

Which emails we send, why, and how to stop them.

Version 1.0, effective 10 October 2026

Service emails

Account holders receive emails needed to use the service: sign-in codes, status updates about their journals, receipts and replies to their messages. These cannot be switched off while the account is open.

Invitations to journal editors

When a journal is in our directory but has not been claimed, we may send a small number of invitations to the editorial contact address published on the journal’s own website, inviting the editor to claim the free listing. Invitations may include an optional offer for an evaluation.

Every invitation identifies Citeveriq, explains why the recipient is receiving it, includes our postal address and has a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribe requests take effect immediately and are kept permanently so we never email that address again.

What we never do

We do not buy or sell email lists, send emails on behalf of others, or use misleading subject lines. If you receive an email claiming to be from Citeveriq that you think is not genuine, forward it to info@citeveriq.com.
